Chai Tea Mix Recipe | Instant Chai Spice Mix – Add Hot Water with a step-by-step photo and video recipe. A morning breakfast meal is incomplete when the meal is not served with hot beverages like coffee or tea. There are multiple variations to this simple hot beverage which are mainly catered to individual requirements and preferences. It can be tricky while traveling, but an instant chai tea mix recipe can be a lifesaver for those particular preferences.

I have posted quite a few instant premix recipes on my blog, but this recipe of chai tea mix recipe has to be the most satisfying one. Literally, the chai or tea is prepared by just adding hot water to the premix powder. Particularly, when the hot water is mixed with the powder, the transformation from a dark color to a creamy chai color is very satisfying. The recipe I have developed is very much inspired by the chai latte premix that is easily available in any store. However, I have slightly modified and skipped vanilla beans and other whole spices. Adding vanilla and more cinnamon makes it more creamy and sweet with less punch of tea powder caffeine. In short, I have tried to replicate the desi chai taste and hence it should easily cater to every taste bud.

Furthermore, some more related and additional tips, suggestions, and variants to the chai tea mix recipe. Firstly, due to the nature of the recipe, the powder has to be grounded to smooth fine powder. Basically, the recipe instruction is to add hot water to the powder, and has to dissolve. Otherwise, the powder may settle at the bottom. Secondly, I have added powdered sugar to the chai premix with a ratio of 1 tsp to a cup of tea. This can be reduced or increased based on individual sweet preferences. Sugar can be even skipped if not is required for you. Lastly, if you notice premix powder gets settled at the bottom of the cup, then you may sieve it before consuming.
